May 22 - As internet fraudsters become more and more sophisticated in their
operation methods, online casinos are seeking ways to prevent them from scamming
their sites. Ethoca Limited, a Dublin-based company, offers casinos a
fraud management program that works on the idea of collaboration.
This week, Ethoca announced that the leading Gibraltar-based online casino,
Mansion Casino, has joined its global community of sites that make use of
its services.
Andre Edelbrock, Chief Executive Officer for Ethoca, said: "The online
gambling industry is strongly on board with the idea of collaborating to stop
fraud with four of the top five and many more of the top 50 already committed to
working together through Ethoca's community."
"As the rapidly emerging de facto standard for collaboration in this
industry, we are very pleased to add Mansion.com as the newest member," said
Edelbrock. "Most fraud management is about reducing risk but Ethoca is unique
because we're also about increasing revenues."
In response, the CEO for Mansion.com, Guy Gussarsky, said: "Offering the best
value in online gaming means that we must continue to stay at the cutting edge
of fraud prevention to offer the best possible protection for our customers.
Ensuring our players have an enjoyable, safe and worry-free gaming experience is
our priority. Ethoca's innovative platform for anti-fraud collaboration is
unique and allows Mansion.com to benefit from the payment experiences of other
companies. It is a real breakthrough in fraud management."
A large number of firms have partnered with Ethoca, over and beyond online
gambling companies. These include ecommerce retailers, financial service
providers and others. By using Ethoca's services, sites could essentially cut
their losses by millions of dollars.
