Playtech Multi-Deck Blackjack |
The majority of online Blackjack game involve 'multi-deck' games, mainly because
the odds are slightly more in favor of the online casinos than in single-deck games.
The number of 52-card decks can fluctuate depending on on the multi-deck game
however Playtech uses 6 decks in its multi-deck online Blackjack and follows the
'Las Vegas Strip' rules.
The rules of Playtech multi-deck online Blackjack have the following variations:
The dealer is required to stand on a soft 17, players are permitted to double on
their first two cards and may also double after splitting.
Also, should a player double and the dealer is holding a card with a 10 value
and gets Blackjack, the player will only lose his or her initial bet.
Otherwise the rules are pretty standard with players only allowed to split their
cards once, not allowed to surrender and so forth. Blackjacks pay 3:2, winning
hands pay 1:1 and insurance pays 2:1.
