3 Card Poker

The first game, Pair Plus, is the most basic of the two and simply requires that the player places a bet on the Pair Plus field. To view the cards, the player clicks the "Deal" icon. This is literally the end of the game. In Pair plus, players cannot draw or discard cards and they do not have any raise or additional bet options. The original hand dealt determines a win or loss. To qualify for a payout, players should have any pair (pays1:1), a flush (4:1), a straight (6:1), three of a kind (30:1) or straight flush (40:1). In this game, a straight is more difficult to obtain with three cards than a flush and as such, is the only card game where it pays higher than the flush. The second game within 3 Card Poker is Ante and Play. Here, players place an ante bet and click deal to receive their three cards. After examining their cards, players decide whether to fold and lose their ante, or bet and double their ante. If the player bets, the dealers cards are turned. The dealer must have a queen or higher in order to qualify and failing this, the player's ante and bet are returned. If the dealer qualifies and beats the players hand, the player loses both the ante and bet wagered. An even hand is termed a "Push" and the player is returned his/her original ante and bet. If the player wins, he/she is paid 1:1 on the ante and bet for a pair, an additional 1:1 on the ante if the hand is a straight, an additional 4X the ante for three of a kind and an additional 5X the ante for a straight flush. In 3 Card Poker, if the player is playing both games, it is advisable to to bet on Ante and Play if he/she has bet on Pair Plus. 3 Card Poker Pro's suggest a strategy whereby players should bet on all hands with a Queen, Six and Four or greater.
