Although Let It Ride Poker is a fairly recent addition to the gambling world, it is a game that has captured the imaginations of gamblers in both land and online casinos, including yours truly. You see the great thing about this game is that it manages to straddle both the poker world and the casino world, meaning that it is a poker-based game designed for the hustle and bustle of the casino. And the result is a game that is plenty of fun to play, incorporates a little more skill than most other popular casino games, and one that can send your winnings into orbit - assuming that you have the cajones to take on the always-feisty Lady Luck. The most important thing to remember when playing Let It Ride Poker is that, unlike in regular poker, you don't play against other players. In fact you don't play against the casino (house) either, but instead challenge Lady Luck. You'll notice that a Let It Ride Poker table usually has seats for three players, but this has no bearing on your game. You'll also notice that you have the option to place three numbered bets plus a side bet. At the start of each hand, you must place a bet (of equal size, but of your choice) on each of the three bets. If you are feeling especially lucky, feel free to also place a side bet that will qualify you to win even bigger payouts. The dealer will deal you and himself three cards face down. However, he'll randomly discard one of his own cards without displaying it. Once you have looked over cards, you have two choices. You can either ask for your first bet back ( if you think your hand sucks) or 'let it ride'. Now you can see where this is going - the better your hand, the more bets you want left on the table and the worse your hand, the more bets you want returned to you. Next the dealer will flip over the first of his two cards. You can now use your three cards plus the dealer's upturned card to make a better hand. And, as in the first round, you have the choice of asking for your second bet back or 'let it ride'. After you've made your choice, the dealer will flip over his second card, giving you the standard poker five card hand from which to make your best poker hand. And here's where Let It Ride Poker really hots up. As per the game's paytable, if you have a pair of 10's or better, you'll be paid out accordingly as per the number and size of bets you have remaining on the table. So if all of your original three bets are still on the table along with your side bet, you can win some pretty hefty pay outs.
