In a bid to capitalize on the growing strength of one of the UK's biggest
gaming group, William Hill, two new appointments at senior level have
been made.
Kristof Fahy will serve as William Hill's new Brand and Marketing Director,
while Neil Cooper will act as the new Finance Director.
The current Finance Director, Simon Lane, announced that he would be stepping
down from his role, opening up a place for Cooper who currently acts as Finance
Director for Bovis Homes Group Plc.
The Chairman of William Hill, Charles Scott, had kind words to say to Simon
Lane who is leaving the company after four years.
"On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Simon for his important
contribution to William Hill, including his significant efforts in helping to
make our balance sheet much stronger for 2009," said Scott. "We wish him every
success in his future career."
Welcoming Cooper as the new Financial Director, Scott said: "We are delighted
that Neil has agreed to join the Board of William Hill. He has highly relevant
experience, both in the leisure sector and in terms of managing the financial
aspects of a complex, multi site business."
The Chief Executive Officer of William Hill, Ralph Topping, welcomed Kristof
Fahy as the new Brand and Marketing Director of the group.
Fahy will develop the company's brand across every type of channel in which
William Hill is active.
"We are also delighted to welcome Kristof as the latest appointment in our
continuing development of the senior management team," said Topping. "His
specialist marketing and branding expertise, together with his online and
communications industries experience, will be invaluable as we look to
capitalize on the strength of William Hill's seventy five year heritage, both
online and offline."
