The Saturday Lotto draw is coming up once more, and this weekend's jackpot
prize looks particularly enticing.
With an estimated jackpot of $4 million, the Saturday December 17th Lotto
could make players very happy just ahead of the holiday season - making it the
perfect way to celebrate Christmas and head off into the New Year.
Last week, in the December 10th Saturday Lotto, eight lucky players each
managed to match the six main draw numbers, with each player taking home just
over half a million dollars ($510,619) each.
The winning numbers on last weekend's Saturday Australian Lotto were as
follows:
9 - 18 - 29 - 32 - 33 - 41, with supp. numbers 27 and 45
Players who want to put themselves in line to win this week's huge $4
million Saturday Lotto jackpot should purchase tickets today and choose six
numbers from a range from one through to forty five.
On Saturday, eight balls will be drawn, and the first six will be the winning
numbers. The last two balls drawn will serve as supplementary numbers and are
used to determine prizes in Divisions two, five and six.
Search on for LotteryWest Lotto Winner
In the meantime, the search continues for a lucky Western
Australian LotteryWest winner who managed to pick up a big prize in last year's
$31 million Megadraw.
The Division One Lotto winner won $1.6 million on December 31st,
2010 but has still not come forward to claim his or her prize.
This may be the final call for the lottery winner, whose ticket
will expire at the end of the month. A spokesperson for Lotterywest, Pina
Compagnone made a desperate call to anyone who purchased a ticket from Springs
News in Beechboro, Perth at the end of last year to check their numbers once
more.
According to the owner of the newsagent which sold the winning
lottery ticket, people are still hoping that they purchased the Big One.
"The shopping center is still buzzing with excitement and there
are many people who are eagerly anticipating for the winner to come forward,"
said the owner. "It has certainly sparked a lot of interest within the
community."
This New Year's Eve, another $31 Million will be up for grabs
once more, and players can already start purchasing their ticket for the
December 31st, 2011 draw.
Thirty four cents out of every dollar spent on the lottery goes
to state hospitals, sports and not-for-profit organisations in Australia.
