New Year's Eve saw the biggest lottery draw take place this year, with the Australian Lotto rewarding players with $31 million.

Now the search is on to find the thirty two lucky $31 million lotto winners who will share the jackpot, and take home just under one million dollars each.

As a result of the fantastic fanfare surrounding the Megadraw, ticket sales for this week's Saturday Lotto draw are up, and players stand in line to win an estimated $4,000,000 in the January 7th draw.

The $31 Million New Year's Eve Megadraw will reward each winning ticket holder with $968,750 as part of the division one pool prize.

Several winners have already been informed of their windfall, including a father from Narraweena who received a phone call early the next morning.

"Oh my God!" was his first reaction. "I call my Lotto tickets a dream tax. I bought this ticket a week ago and I only ply occasionally. I would say I only bought about five tickets last year!"

The winning numbers in the Megadraw were 28, 33, 38, 41, 7 and 8.

Eight from Queensland

Five from NSW

Five from Victoria

Three in South Australia

One in Tasmania

There is still time for players to get their hands on a Saturday Lotto ticket for the January 7th draw, which will take place this weekend, Saturday evening at 8.30 pm.

The jackpot is a cool $4 million and to win the prizes (from first to sixth division), players need to pick the winning numbers.
