Centrebet to Continue Sponsoring Cowboys NRL Team

Centrebet International Limited, a major online gambling and sports betting provider, has re-signed a sponsorship deal with leading Australian national rugby league team, the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys.

The sponsorship deal will see the top Australian National Rugby League team, the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, continued to be supported by Centrebet for the rest of the 2012 season.

The National Rugby League attracts a number of sponsorship deals from the gambling and sports betting industry and this is the latest in a recent series of sponsorship deals.

Centrebet has been a sponsor of the Cowboys since 2009 and in this improved deal for the 2012 NFL season, the online sportsbetting company will become a Gold sponsor.

The higher level of commitment to the Townsville-based professional rugby league team includes a sponsorship of the Spirit cheer leading squad who perform at every home game at the Dairy Farmers Stadium. In addition, Centrebet will sponsor the Cowboys Golf Day which is scheduled to take place later in the season.

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys has added two major sponsors to its portfolio this year. The team was admitted to the 16-team National Rugby League in 1995 and have worked their way up slowly and solidly in the league. Ten years later the team even appeared in the Grand Final.

Centrebet have chosen their team wisely, because last season the Cowboys were noted as being the most-watched professional Australian rugby league team on Pay TV.

Four of the team's members also represent Australia at a national level.

General Manager for the Cowboys said that having Centrebet as a major sponsor is a big step forward for the team. He added that the gambling company has been a great partner for the past three seasons and that he looks forward to developing their relationship at an even higher level in the future.
