Tomorrow, Saturday March 17th, will see an estimated $4 million up for grabs
in the Lotterywest Saturday Lotto draw.
Players still have time to purchase tickets for the Saturday Lotto $4
million jackpot draw which closes on 5 pm on Saturday.
The Saturday Lotto has eight balls drawn from a total of 45, with the first
six drawn considered winning numbers and the last two drawn as supplementary
numbers. Players should remember that the minimum entry is 4 games.
There are six prize divisions in the Saturday Lotto and the more winning
numbers guessed, the bigger the prize.
Throughout the year, Lotterywest holds a number of superdraws and megadraws,
and the next one coming up is on Saturday, March 31st.
The March Superdraw will have a guaranteed Division One prize of $21 million,
so it is definitely worth purchasing tickets into this event!
The next Saturday Lotto superdraw will take place on May 12th, 2012, with a
$20 million Division One prize up for grabs, while the one after that is
scheduled for June 30th, 2012, with a whopping $30 million Division One prize.
Lotto Win for Homeless Couple
One of the more rewarding Lotto stories this week was that of a
young Rockingham couple who won $1 million in a Lotto draw.
The couple, in their 20s and parents to four young children, had
been living in temporary accommodation and trying to find a solution to their
housing problem.
On a whim, they purchased a lottery ticket - for the first time
ever - and were stunned to learn that they had won one of the top prizes.
Their windfall was one of two Lotto tickets which won top prize
in that particular draw. While the couple thought initially that they would
share the prize with other winners, they soon learned that new lottery rules
implemented only recently guaranteed a $1 million win for up to two players each
time.
The couple said that they were now relieved that their housing
problems were over and that their children's futures were secure.
"We can now buy our first home and make sure our children are
looked after," they said. "Never in our life time did we think we would ever
call ourselves millionaires, it's just crazy!"
